Database Migration:
In this stage our scope was to migrate Oracle Database (Core Banking) and MSSQL Databases from old existing servers to the new servers with minimum downtime. Following is high level implementation steps.
  • Install Oracle Database 11gR2 on the database LDOMS
  • Install required patches Databases.
  • Use Oracle RMAN to migrate the core Banking DB.
  • Use Oracle RMAN to migrate the TEST, DEV, Training and UAT DBs.
  • Use Storage migration to migrate the MSSQL DBs.
  • Configure Oracle Data guard between the main site and DR for core
  • banking Database. (Database HA solution).
  • Use MSSQL mirroring to sync DBs between Main and DR sites.

Citrix Xen Server Migration:
In this stage our scope was to migrate the Applications VMs at main site and DR site for Production, Test, Dev, Training and UAT environments. Following is high level migration steps.
  • Install Citrix Xen Server hypervisor on new servers.
  • Assign new LUNs for the old servers.
  • Export the VMs Disks and copy it to the new Storage.
  • Export VMs configurations • Assign the LUNs to the New servers.
  • Import the VMs configuration.
  • Bring the VMs to online status.

SLA Scope of Work: The agreement will include the following tasks and activities

  • Secure, document and maintain operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot OS bugs, misconfiguration and apply security patches.
  • Operating system server update upon application vendor request.
  • Monitor the functional state of systems and resolve performance issues as they are identified.
  • Ensure systems are patched and updated in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Identify performance or security issues and ensure the issue is documented and followed through until resolved.
  • Ensure Server high availability and recovery for all servers.

  • Use export and import to transfer most of the DBs.
  • Use transportable tablespaces for Core Banking Database.
  • Use SharePlex for database Synchronization and replication during the migration process.
  • Configure Oracle Data guard between the main site and DR for core banking Database and other critical DBs. (Database HA solution.

IGate off-site/ Onsite consultation responsible for all enhancement and performance the Technology Products listed below:
  • GIG insurance Egyptian Life takaful company will replace a Raid 5 HD, which may force to rebuild the GRID and restore the(backup) production Database,
  • So iGate will provide an Oracle 11gr2 admin senior engineer to rebuild the GRID and restore the Database.
  • iGate admin senior engineer will work closely (remotely / Onsite) as per the technical requirements.
  • iGate provide a service for enhance the performance concerning the CLOUD Database.
  • SLA for One Year covering the OS, Linux Oracle Database, and the WebLogic Administrations.

  • Install Oracle grid 12c (RAC)
  • Configure ASM for Oracle RAC
  • Install Oracle Database 12c software on the database LDOMS
  • Install required patches Databases.
  • Configure Oracle Database instances.
  • Transfer Database from existing servers to the new servers for testing and application deployment.
  • Configure Oracle Data guard between the two sites.
